Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Beard Wax.

A standard Beard Wax session typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes depending on hair thickness and desired shaping. First-time clients may need a few extra minutes for consultation and customized design; experienced clients are generally quicker.

Proper technique and aftercare minimize irritation and ingrown hairs. We use high-quality wax and soothing post-wax balm, plus recommend exfoliation and moisturization to prevent bumps and promote smooth regrowth. Sensitive skin clients receive tailored care.

Have clean, dry skin and hair about a quarter-inch long for optimal waxing. Avoid heavy moisturizers or aggressive exfoliation 24–48 hours before. Tell us about recent retinoid use, sunburn, or skin sensitivities so we can adapt treatment.

Most clients return every 3–6 weeks depending on personal hair growth and desired sharpness. Faster growers may need three-week intervals; others prefer monthly or longer. We'll recommend a customized schedule during your visit to keep your beard consistently groomed.

Waxing removes hairs from the root but doesn't permanently alter follicle density. Some clients notice softer regrowth or temporary reduction in visible thickness after repeated waxing, but long-term density generally remains the same without electrolysis or permanent removal.

Most skin types and hair textures respond well to beard waxing, but sensitive or acne-prone skin requires a careful assessment. We perform a consultation, use gentler wax formulas, and recommend post-care to minimize irritation and ensure a safe, comfortable service.
