Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Lip Wax.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for 2–4 weeks, sometimes up to six weeks depending on individual hair growth and hormones. With regular Lip Wax appointments hair often grows back finer, and intervals between services can lengthen over time.

Some sensation and brief sting is normal; pain is usually mild and short-lived. We use warm wax, gentle techniques and numbing options if needed. Communicating comfort level with your technician helps manage sensitivity during a Lip Wax appointment.

If you have sensitive skin, Lip Wax can still be safe when performed by an experienced technician using hypoallergenic wax and post-care. Patch tests are available. Avoid retinoids or exfoliants before waxing and inform us about any skin conditions or medications.

Clean skin free of makeup and moisturizers is best; arrive with hair about 1/4 inch for effective removal. Avoid tanning, chemical peels, or heavy exfoliation for several days prior. Discuss medications and allergies during check-in.

Aftercare includes keeping the area clean, avoiding direct sun, hot saunas, and heavy sweating for 24–48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or recommended calamine products, avoid makeup immediately, and exfoliate gently after several days to prevent ingrown hairs.

Lip Wax won't interfere with most skincare or makeup routines but avoid harsh chemical treatments immediately before and after. Wait at least 24 hours to apply heavy makeup and resume active exfoliants or retinoids only after skin has calmed.
